Tobermory, ON: Bruce Trail (Part II)

We continued to hike the Bruce Trail this morning. We left the motel at around 8 am and took 20 minutes to arrive at another starting point for the Bruce Trail.

Halfway log dump. We arrived very early and there were only a few cars in the parking lot. Those cars most likely belonged to campers who stayed overnight.

We were the only ones at the beach. Slightly foggy, but it was nice to hear the birds and the water.

We hiked a bit more to the higher grounds.

Since the trail was quite wet and slippery from the rain in the morning, we decided to cut our hike short and headed back to our car.

As we drove out of the forest, we found this snapping turtle in the middle of the road:

I hope he crossed the road in time before the road got busy.

This concludes the recap of our trip to Tobermory. We really enjoyed being so close to nature and I’m sure we will be coming back.
