Herb Garden

We went to Costco earlier and got an inflatable mattress to prepare for friends and family that are planning to come visit this summer. The garden center was opened but since it’s still quite early, they didn’t have much of a selection.

We went to Walmart later to pick up some eggs because we forgot to pick them up at Costco. The Walmart garden center was finally opened and they were stocked up with all kinds of herb plants. My initial plan was to plant some mini cactus around the house, but decided to go for the herb garden instead.

My Herb Garden will consist of: (Top Row) Rosemary, Basil, Parsley; (Bottom Row) Thyme, Cilantro and Dill. (*Edit* The third picture on the top row is actually the red baby tomato plant, but there is Parsley in the Herb Garden!)

Bill also got 2 baby tomato plants as well. We got red and yellow baby tomato plants.

These are the planters that the herbs will be planted in. They are stack-able and can be taken apart to drain off the excess water.

Pulling out the biodegradable planters that they came in. I’m quite new to this and wasn’t sure if I was supposed to take them out or plant them as is…I took them out.

Finished! It wasn’t as messy as I thought it would be. I put a lot of newspaper on the floor. Let’s hope that the herbs stay alive!
